This event is a TRIFECTA Cleanup in partnership with Keep Charlotte Beautiful and Park & Recreation! Volunteers will be tackling Little Sugar Creek, the surrounding streets, and the park property around the stream by removing litter. You can decide which activity you like to focus on at the start of the event.
Parking: Street parking is available along Cullman Ave. You can meet staff at the check-in table in the grassy area near the listed address to register and receive supplies and instructions. Parking is limited at this location, so public transportation is encouraged if possible, or there is a paid parking lot across the street at 3400 Philemon Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206.
What to Bring: To limit single-use plastic, please bring a filled reusable water bottle. Supplies such as hip waders and grabbers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, but we will bring as many as we can. All volunteers will be provided with gloves and trash bags. Feel free to bring your own gloves and boots if you’d like!
What to Wear: We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes and long pants for this event.
Details regarding weather or cancellations will be sent the day before the event. If you have any questions, please email Taylor Mebane at STW-Volunteers@MeckNC.gov
